Ayodhya To Get 251m Tall Lord Ram Statue

India’s Statue of Unity is the world’s tallest statue, it won’t be tallest in coming years. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that a 251 Meters Lord Ram Statue will be built in the holy town of Ayodhya. After this project is finished, this statue will be the world’s tallest statue.

The 251 meter Lord Ram statue will be built on a 100-acre site on the bank of River Sarayu. Not just the statue, but there will also be a digital museum, interpretation centre, food plaza, library. parking facilities and more to make this place a good tourist place in the state.

The Government will spend a whopping amount of Rs 2500 crore. It will also appoint a separate unit of ‘Rajkiya Nirman Nigam’ that will take care of the development of this project. UP government has already initiated the process of acquiring 100-acre land in Ayodhya for this project.

UP Government has also called Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur and National Environmental Engineering Research Institute Nagpur to conduct the preliminary on-site survey and feasibility.

The Government expects to attract more tourists in the state that will further boost the tourism industry of the state. As of now only Agra, Mathura, Varanasi and Prayagraj are the only names one could think of visiting in the state.
