Solang Valley
The name "Solang Valley" is the combination of words Solang (Nearby village) and Nallah (water stream).. This valley is situated at the top of the Kullu Valley in state of Himachal Pradesh. It is one of the popular tourist destinations and is situated on the way to Rohtang from Manali. The place is popular among adventure enthusiasts who come here for Parachuting to paragliding and horse riding to driving mini open jeeps.
The valley is usually covered with snow. So, tourists enjoy skiing here. There are several training institutes and trainers for skiing.
Snowfall stars at the beginning of October and temperature can drop to -1 �C with nights during winters. December to January is the peak time for snowfall. If you are going there, it is advisable to carry plenty of woollens.
