To reach Machu Pichu, you have to first arrive at Cusco, and then take a train to Aguas Caliente which is 3.5 hours away from the archaeological site, then the rest is all up to your hiking capacity. Mach Pichu is best to visit in the months of April and October.
8. Angkor, Cambodia
Once a central hub of the Khmer Dynasty, this ancient city in Cambodia is known for its temples and their architectures. After the decline of the dynasty, these beautiful temples were lost in the forests and rediscovered in the 1860s. The central temple Angkorwat is a beautiful site along with fort city of Angkor Thom. The sites of the site is an embodiment of grandeur.
November to March is the ideal time to visit Angkor. The closest airport to Angkor is the Siem Airport, from where it is accessible by roads.
9. Bagan, Myanmar
Bagan is an ancient city in the Mandalay Region of Myanmar. It is also listed in a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city was the capital of the Pagan Kingdom from the 9th to 13th centuries.
More than 10,000 Buddhist temples, pagodas and monasteries were constructed in the Bagan plains alone during the kingdom’s height between the 11th and 13th centuries.
The best time to visit the Bagan in Myanmar is from middle of October till the end of March.
10. Great Wall of China
The Great Wall of China is an ancient series of walls and fortifications located in northern China. It is one of the ancient Historical Places that one can visit. The total length of this wall is more than 13,000 miles. It was originally conceived by Emperor Qin Shi Huang in the third century B.C. for preventing incursions from barbarian nomads.
The best time to visit the great wall of China is spring (April – May) and autumn (September – November). Never go there in Summers.
