Robber's Cave

Robber's Cave, also known as Guchhupani, is a famous tourist attraction located near Dehradun, in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is a natural cave formation nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas and is known for its unique geological features and historical significance.

The cave got its name from a group of robbers who used it as a hideout during the British colonial period. Legend has it that these robbers would retreat to the cave after committing their crimes, hence the name "Robber's Cave."

The cave is formed by a stream of water that disappears underground and reappears a few hundred meters away. It is divided into two main parts, with an extremely narrow gorge separating them. The water stream flows through the gorge, creating a captivating natural spectacle.

Visitors to Robber's Cave can explore the cave by walking through knee-deep water in certain sections. The cool and refreshing water, along with the mesmerizing rock formations, makes it a popular spot for tourists, especially during the summer months when people seek relief from the heat.
