Winter
Throughout the whole year Khardung La Pass is covered with snow. For this reason, the Border Roads Organization has been given the responsibility of maintaining this pass. Panamik Village, Ensa Math, and Diskit Math are the main attractions of Nubra Valley. Panamik village is situated at an altitude of 10,442 feet above sea level and is famous among tourists for a hot water spring which is situated on the outskirts of the place. Ansa Monastery, otherwise known as Ensa Gompa, is located in the vicinity of this village. Diskit Math, 350 years old, is another major attraction which is considered to be one of the oldest and largest Buddhist monasteries of this destination. July to November is the best time for visiting Nubra Valley.
Summer
Summer is the best time to visit Nubra starting in March and lasts till June before the onset of monsoon. The days are a little warm and pleasant to hang out. After October, the Khardung La Pass is often closed due to heavy snowfall or rain.
Monsoon
It is especially beautiful during the monsoon, which lasts from late June and July to early September. Unlike many other tourist hotspots, the monsoon is actually the best time to travel to Leh. It is a rain shadow area, meaning it does not rain much.
