HOW TO REACH MANALI
BY AIR:
The nearest Airport located at 40 km from Manali is Bhuntar. The domestic flight at Bhuntar are connected to Chandigarh and Delhi. Since Bhuntar is not a frequent airport for rest cities of the country, you can travel to Delhi or Chandigarh which are well-connected spots. Once you reach Bhuntar, you can get a pre-paid taxi to reach Manali with a drive of 1 hour. As the weather conditions are not stable to fly over Bhuntar that leads to untimely cancelations or delay of flights, traveling by air is least preferred by the visitors to Manali.
BY ROAD:
Traveling to Manali by road gives you the option to go by bus to hiring a car. Several buses are available from Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla, Dharamshala, and Leh. You can reach any of this location by car or bus and start the journey towards your destination-Manali. Alternatively, you can hire a taxi to travel to Manali if the driver has good experience of driving in hilly regions.
BY RAILWAY:
The nearest railway stations Joginder Nagar, Chandigarh and Ambala at 143 km, 305 km and 338 km away respectively. All the stations are connected to a different part of the country and you can reach there by train. Once you reach Joginder nagar you can board a bus till Mandi and from Mandi till Manali travel a distance of 105 km. As mentioned in the roadways, Chandigarh has several buses available to reach Manali. Ambala also has bus services to Manali.
