How To Reach
Via Road:
The best and quickest way to reach Lamayuru If you are traveling in the winter season then hire a cab from Leh. This is because buses do not run regularly on the highway during the winter season. But in summer you are advised to board local buses so that the journey is more fun and pocket-friendly. The drive to Lamayuru is an excellent journey. The landscape starts changing as soon as it leaves Leh. Although all that can be seen are arid and arid, only a lush green part of the land can be found. During the trip, if you are lucky, there is a possibility to experience wildlife animals. It is better that you start your journey to Lamayuru in the morning so that you can return safely to Leh before noon.
Via Rail:
Lamayuru does not have its own railway station. The nearest railway station is in Jammu, and from here you either have to take a bus or take a taxi to Lamayuru. On the bright side, the road is beautiful and panoramic and one is the ultimate bliss.
Via Flight:
Lamayuru does not have an airport. The nearest airport is at Leh, which is only 125 kilometers away and receives frequent flights from the rest of the country. The nearest airport is Srinagar Airport which is 300 kilometers from Lamayuru. From both these destinations, you can either hire a can or taxi or if you are looking for a cheaper option you can also take a bus.
