If you are in Jaisalmer, do not miss the camel safari experience. Jaisalmer is one of the most popular places for camel safaris in India. Most of the people go to Sam Sand Dunes for camel safari. The only issue with it is that the place has been commercially developed and crowded. Sam Sand Dunes is also one of the best places to watch sun sets in India. So, do not miss the beautiful sunset here. As the place is highly commercialised, companies offering gaming experience offer lots of things including Folk dance performances at night, bonfire gatherings, regional food, furnished tents and more.
Alternatively, you can also go to Khuri village if you want peaceful experience. Khuri village is located in 45 km south-west of Jaisalmer. Here the village houses are made of mud and straw. Here you can experience yellow sand dunes at night. Now there are few companies who have started offering things like tent houses, folk dance performances at night and more, but not as much as in Sand Dunes.

Jaisalmer Camel Safari Price
The cost of camel safari vary from company to company and their packages. Most of the companies there offer camping and camel ride experience. And It starts at Rs. 2000 per person. Prices are also negotiable. So, do not book anything in advance
If you are there from your own and just want camel safari experience, it will cost you anything between Rs. 300 to Rs. 600 per person.
One thing to note that most of the companies promise a lot on their websites. But you will end up with less things. For example, we were promises the Camel ride of 30 minutes but it was not more than of 10 minutes. They left us on sunset point and picked from there. For more ride, they charge more.
Best time to visit Jaisalmer for Desert Safari
Best time to visit the Jaisalmer and enjoy desert safari is between the months of November and March. It is because temperature remains hotter in other months. So, desert safari becomes more confortable between the months of November and March.
Best time: Sunrise (4 AM to 6 AM) and Sunset (5 PM to 7 PM).
