HOW TO REACH NAINITAL
By Air: The nearest domestic airport from Nainital is the Jolly Grant Airport which is about 270 kilometers away. Though there are several landing strips in Uttarakhand, it is only accessible only if you’re traveling in a private plane. The nearest International Airport is the Indira Gandhi International Airport which is approximately 300 kilometers away. It should take one about 9 hours to reach Nainital from the domestic airport while 8 hours from the nearest international airport.
By Train: The nearest railway station is the Kathgodam Railway station which is about 30 kilometers away and it should take you an hour or more depending on the weather and climate of the day you’re traveling in.
By Road: Nainital is well connected from all the metro cities nearby and from Delhi for example, the distance is about 350 kilometers which take about 8 to 10 hours to cover. From states like Haryana and Punjab, the distance is about 450 kilometers and 660 kilometers.
