1. Leh, Ladakh
This town, about 3,500 meters above sea level, is any traveler’s paradise. Though the Ladakh district stretches from the Siachen Glacier, Leh is a high-desert city in the Himalayas. There are a lot of places you can enjoy to your heart’s content. You need to visit the beautiful Number Valley and the traditional Leh market.
If you want to visit places with great history, you can visit the Leh Palace, the Shanti Stupa, or the Thiksay monastery, which stands atop a hill. The Spituk, Phyang, and Sankar monasteries are also very famous. The magnetic hall can be visited. The Army Hall of Fame is a must-see for everyone! To reach this little town, you can fly to the Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh.
Flights from Delhi begin from only ₹8,000. Also, if you want, you can take buses from Srinagar and Manali. If you want to drive up to Leh, it will take around 4 days from Delhi.

2. Tawang
This little town in Arunachal Pradesh is a natural spectacle. It is most famous for the snowy Sela Pass, which connects Tawang to Tezpur and Guwahati. Also, the beautiful Nuranang Falls, and Madhuri Lake, both of which are an hour away from the town are any visitor’s paradise.
Tawang also has a Tawang War Memorial, and you can add it to your itinerary. If you’re looking for some calm, you can visit the Tawang Monastery. The cool climate is a relief from the hot and humid summers. All in all, the visit to Tawang is totally going to be worth it.
3. Udaipur
This Rajasthani city of lakes awaits you this July. So, pack your bags to explore this land full of culture, history, and beauty. You are going to be amazed at the royal residences that surround the city. This city was founded by Maharaja Udai Singh II in 1559.
The area around Lake Pichola is a must-see. Visit the city palace to have a look at the lifestyle royals led! Some of the royals still live in a part of the palace! Boat around Lake Pichola, and look at the Lake Palace, Jag Mandir, and the whole of Old Udaipur.
There are also a few reasonably priced hotels near the Lake, where you can enjoy your stay as well as the waters of the Lake! Also, visit the beautiful Saheliyon-ki-bari while you’re there! Neither too hot nor too cold, Udaipur is an ideal place to visit.
4. Munnar, Kerala
The rolling hills on which the town of Munnar is situated are sure to take your breath away. Explore the large tree plantations, enjoy the little waterfalls here and there, and soak yourself in the rain for a sublime experience.
Only 110 kilometers from Kochi airport, you can fly into Kochi and then take a cab to Munnar. The Eravikulam National Park is spectacular, as are the Nayamakad Falls, with water purer than the R.O. gives us! There are also a lot of viewpoints in and around the town and going there, you can experience nature at its finest.
Also, don’t forget to boat at the Mattupetty dam! If you’re going to Munnar, be sure to make time for tree-tasting and plantation visits. Various other species are grown in Munnar too.

5. Spiti Valley, Himachal Pradesh
The Spiti Valley is a valley in the desert mountains, with spectacular views. Not only this, it is home to some of the oldest Buddhist monasteries- Key and Tabo monasteries, and this is why it has become a research and cultural center for Buddhists.
Its name means ‘The Middle Land’ in Tibetan and it can be reached through Shimla via Kinnaur or Manali. The Spiti Valley has little hamleys- Kye, Hikkim, and Langza, which are exemplary showcases of the culture of the valley residents.
The Chandra Tal Lake is sure to become your favorite, as are the historic Tabo caves. Even though it becomes really cold in the winter, it enjoys pleasant weather in July.
6. Kodaikanal, Tamilnadu
The princess of Hill Stations, and the home to the spectacular Kodaikanal Lake, Kodaikanal is a truly enchanting holiday destination. Its name means ‘The Gift of Forest’ in Tamil, and you can see it truly fulfills its name once you reach there. The Pine tree forest, the Coaker’s Walk, and the Pillar Rocks Road all make it any walker’s heaven.
The Berijam Lake is not to be missed, and the Silver Cascade and Bear Shola should be enjoyed as well! If you’re to go to the Kodaikanal Lake, remember to cycle around and boat in the Lake along with enjoying the delicious pakodas the lakeside stalls offer.

7. Valley of Flowers
This UNESCO World Heritage Site comes on the way to Sri Hemkund Sahib and the fact that it is open to visitors only during the summer makes the visit even more special. It is a National Park, which is known for its meadows and its flora. Not only this, but it is also a trekker’s paradise, with a lot of trekking routes around. And while reaching there is sure to be more than a little exercise, the streams and the small waterfalls are all going to make it worth it.

8. Meghalaya
This place is my personal favorite place to visit during the monsoon and after the monsoon. As the name suggested, this place is home to clouds. The weather is always romantic here. Places like Cherrapunji, Dawki, and Shillong are must-visits in Monsoon. Do keep in mind about the flood or any natural disaster before going there.
