Dudhsagar Waterfalls

Dudhsagar Waterfalls is one of the most popular places to visit when you are in Goa. Dudh sagar Waterfalls is also one of the Dudhsagar Waterfalls that boasts the height of around 1017 ft. It is located on the Mandovi River inside Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary. The waterfall is also surrounded by lush greenery to make the view even beautiful.

It is also wroth to note that you need at last 5 hours to cover the Falls . It will take over an hour to reach falls. Then you will have to wait for around 30 minutes near the forest entrance. You also ned 1.5 hours to enjoy at the waterfall before heading back.

Best Time to Visit Dudhsagar Falls

The best time to visit Dudhsagar Waterfalls in between the months of October and June. During this time, the weather remains pleasant. During monsoon, waterfall becomes more furious as the amount of water increases. If you are planning to visit there in Monsoon, be extra careful because routes to Dudhsagar Falls during this season become quite slippery. Jeep Safari is not available during Monsoon season and Trekking is Only way to reach dudhsagar falls.

How to reach Dudhsagar Falls

Dudhsagar Falls is accessible by rail and road both. If you are planning to visit there by rail, you need to board a train to Kulem railway station.

By road: If you are planning to reach the Dudhsagar Waterfall road, the trip is easy. It is 65 kilometres from Calangute and 40 kilometres away from Madgaon. You can either take a taxi to Dudhsagar Falls, take a bus or Jeeps by the Forest Department. Private vehicles can't enter the area.

Jeep charges Rs. 500 per person for a shared ride or you can book the entire jeep for 7 people at Rs. 3500.

By Train: The closest railway station is Kulem. There are two trains daily to reach there. From Kulem, you can get a taxi to waterfalls. The distance between the station and falls is approximately 6 km .
