Bhimtal experiences three major seasons which are Summer, Winter and the Monsoon season. Summers in Bhimtal begins in the month of March and lasts till June and is considered the best time of the year to take a trip to Bhimtal because as the weather is quite pleasant. The temperature during this time varies anywhere from 10 degrees to 27 degrees covered with a blanket of bright blue sky over variegated hills with mesmerizing sights to behold. Summer also awaits the adventurous soul in you with a plethora of activities to indulge in like boating, kayaking, cycling, and paragliding. The Bhimtal lake looks remarkably stunning and beautiful adding up to the beauty. Fishing is also another leisure activity thoroughly enjoyed by people who visit. Then comes the Monsoon season beginning in the month of July and ending nearly in the month of August. This is the time when the entire hill town experiences rainfall in abundance. The weather during this time of the year is fairly pleasant and windy with intermittent showers. This is also the blooming season in Bhimtal as the hill has evergreen shrubs with variegated foliage and the Bhimtal lake looks exceptionally beautiful and mesmerizing with the rainfall. Then the last season is the Winter season which begins in the month of September and ends in the month of February. Here the temperatures range from minus three degrees to fifteen degrees and are freezing cold here and the entire city gets covered with a sheet of snow making it a beautiful yet enjoyable time to visit during this season. The weather during the months of September to December is pleasant with the majestic mountains looking extremely beautiful and the crystal clear water in Bhimtal lake perfect for fishing and paddling. This is also a great time to indulge in trekking which is a famous adventure activity which attracts tourists globally. From December to February, Bhimtal experiences frigid weather, with the temperature falling below sub-zero levels. It is highly not recommended to travel during this time of the year, as the lake freezes and other activities are closed.
